Cristiano Ronaldo, one of football’s superstars, has bought a superb modern villa in La Resina, Estepona. According to GQ France, the Portuguese player paid €1.4 million for the property, which is another addition to his property empire. Situated in the heart of the Golden Triangle, La Resina is only a few minutes drive from the town of Estepona, the centre of Marbella and the vibrant shops and nightlife of Puerto Banús.
The La Resina development is in the same location as the La Resina Golf & Country Club, which is renowned for its spectacular sea and mountain views. According to he magazine, the two-storey villa has a private gym, a cinema and an infinity pool, as well as wonderful views of the Mediterranean.
Ronaldo may be pleased to find that he has a celebrity neighbour; the Irish boxer and mixed martial arts fighter Connor McGregor has also purchased a villa in the luxury development known as ‘The Heights’.
The Heights consists of 11 unique private villas and each has home domotics and a private lift, as well as six exclusive entertainment areas. Additional affordable packages are also available, including a gymnasium, home cinema and a full SPA.
It is perhaps unsurprising that Ronaldo chose to buy one of The Heights villas. The project was created by the founders of La Sala, one of the most successful businesses on the Costa del Sol. Many of those on the La Sala board are either former Premier League footballers, or footballers’ agents. Furthermore, Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Winks is a brand ambassador for The Heights, as well as being an investor. Another celebrity ambassador for this project is the New Zealand former professional golfer, Michael Campbell. He is best known for having won the 2005 U.S. Open and the richest prize in golf, the £1,000,000 HSBC World Match Play Championship, in the same year.
If you want to join the sporting jet-set, then it looks like a villa at The Heights is the property to purchase.
